Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short city tour or relax at the hotel to prepare for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, depart Kampala for Kibale Forest National Park, located in western Uganda. The journey is scenic, passing through lush countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes near Fort Portal.

Kibale is home to 13 species of primates, including over 1,500 chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and red colobus monkeys. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your lodge, and relax in the forest atmosphere.

Start your day with a chimpanzee tracking excursion in Kibale Forest. After a briefing at the visitor center, follow experienced ranger guides into the forest in search of one of our closest relatives. Spend up to one hour observing the chimpanzees as they interact, feed, and vocalize.

In the afternoon, take a community-led walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich biodiversity including monkeys, baboons, butterflies, and over 200 bird species, such as the Great Blue Turaco.

After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse wildlife reserve. The drive passes through beautiful landscapes of crater lakes, volcanic hills, and the Rwenzori Mountains.

Arrive in time for a late afternoon or evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains, known for elephants, buffaloes, lions, Ugandan kobs, and warthogs. Keep your eyes open for leopards and hyenas as the sun sets.

Rise early for a morning game drive to catch predators before they retreat. Look for lions, elephants, topis, giant forest hogs, and many bird species.

In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This relaxing ride offers excellent views of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and numerous waterbirds, including pelicans, kingfishers, and African fish eagles.

After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth Park—famous for tree-climbing lions (optional depending on road conditions). Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half the world’s population of mountain gorillas.

This ancient rainforest is one of the most biologically diverse areas in Africa. Check in to your lodge, enjoy the misty mountain views, and rest for your gorilla trek tomorrow.

Rise early and head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. With a ranger guide, trek through the forest for 2–6 hours (depending on the gorillas’ location). Once you find the gorilla family, spend one unforgettable hour with them in their natural habitat.

After the trek, begin your return journey to Entebbe via road (or optional domestic flight). Depending on your travel plans, you’ll be dropped off at the airport or hotel.
